Hasanamba College of Education was established during 1972. All through these years, it has tried to impart quality education to its student trainees. The products of our institution are serving in various educational institutions and have brought name and fame to our college.
The college which offers co-education is permanently affiliated to the University of Mysore. It has been included under 2F and 12B of the UGC act. As a result of it we are able to seek UGC assistance. Our institution is accredited by NAAC with B grade during the years 2004-09 and Reaccreditation with “B” grade during the years 2015-20. It is recognized by NCTE, Southern Regional committee, Bengaluru and by the Karnataka State Government by order No.ED176VGV2004.
Hassan, the district named after the famous Hasanamba temple is popular due to the ancient temples in Belur, Halebeedu and statue of Bahubali in Shravanabelagola. The location itself is very ideal with an equal distance to Bengaluru, Mysore and Mangalore. It is well connected by railways with the rest of the country. The developing city has many educational institutions from the Primary till Higher education like Dental, Medical and Engineering. Apart from the world famous temples, Hassan has a reservoir and power generation plant in Gorur, ISRO Master Control Facility and Coffee Estates. With its salubrious climate, Hassan is called poor man’s Ooty. Our college is managed by Hasanamba Education Trust (R) which also runs Sri.Hasanamba Dental College and Hospital
